Super Quick Ways To Change Your Attitude Towards Money

If the majority of people only realized what changing their attitude towards money could do for them, they would all start working on it. However, most people are stuck in their old, negative patterns and would rather stay stuck in their comfort zones. People often prefer to stick to what they know, even if it’s not getting them the results that they want! Although it can be scary to move away from these patterns and try another approach, it’s important if you want to improve your financial future. Here are a few super quick ways you can change your attitude towards money. Stick with them and see what they do for you. You might be surprised!

Write Down The Things You Think About Money Regularly

The first step is to figure out what’s really going on in your mind when you think about money. If you notice yourself thinking about money, write down what you’re thinking. You could use this as a free writing exercise, which will be good if you're not really sure what your beliefs are. Maybe you do know what your beliefs are, e.g. money is the root of all evil, only greedy people want money, etc. Whatever they are, write them down.

Figure Out Where Your Attitude Towards Money Actually Comes From

Now, it’s important to look at these beliefs you’ve written down objectively. These beliefs may have only been true for you because you’ve stuck to them like glue. They are simply limiting beliefs, and they are not everybody’s truth. You can be rich and still be kind and thoughtful and giving. You can be rich and still have an amazing life filled with love! More often than not, your beliefs surrounding money come from your parents, or things that were said to you/around you when you were very young.

It’s time to change them.

Write Down What You’d Like To Be True

What would you like to be true? For instance, ‘money just flows to me’, ‘money helps me to support the life of my dreams.’ Write out your new beliefs with positive wording. You can call these ‘affirmations’. Every time you catch yourself thinking an old belief, you need to replace it with a new one. It takes consistency, but you can change the way your brain is programmed this way!

Try Other Alternative Techniques

There are plenty of other techniques you can use, such as CBT, tapping, meditation, visualization, and more. They might sound a little ‘woo woo’ to you, but you shouldn’t knock them until you’ve tried them.

Look At Your Budget And Figure Out What You Can Change Now
